CU-Harrodsburg and CU-Somerset are set to face off tonight

Box Score

The Pioneers are coming off a second win this season over the defending national champions Grace Christian Tigers. The Pioneers come into the game sitting at 5-5 on the season with wins coming against Bob Jones, Boyce College, Welch College and Grace Christian College (Twice).

The Pioneers are led by Chris Rawlins and Tyron Duncan as the only two Pioneers averaging double figures. However, over the last few games the emergence of Kerion Douglas on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball has been key to the success of this team. He has had two double doubles this season both coming in the last three games.

The Pioneers will have to stop CU-Somersets leading scorer Kourtney Ware who is averaging 27.8 points per game. However, this isn't the first time that the Pioneers are called to step up and shut down a scorer like Ware. The Pioneers had their hands full when Boyce College was in town facing off two of the country's top 10 scorers. Holding both players to under their average scoring.

CU-Somerset will come into the match-up starting their season off 4-1 with going 2-1 in games with Grace Christian and defeating Mississippi University of the Women two times as well. CU-Somerset is averaging 92 points per-game this season, while the Pioneers are giving up 79.6 points per-game good for number 9 in the country.

Tonight, will mark the 7th meeting between the two schools in the last 3 seasons where the Pioneers lead the series by the record of 4-2 heading into tonight's game. This is the first of two matchup's this season between the two teams both will be played in Harrodsburg. Tonight's game will be available for broadcast on the Pioneers Sports Network.
