The Pioneers Men's Basketball defeated Brescia Bearcats last night 91-82 to move their record to 2-4 on the season.Â
Â
Chris Rawlins led the way last night scoring 24 points while grabbing 8 rebounds on the game.
Mason Blair got hot in the first half as he scored 13 points for the Pioneers.Â
Â
The big difference in the game was the Pioneers forced the Bearcats to 29 turnovers.Â
Â
Early in the second half the Pioneers went on a run and had the opportunity to really put the Bearcats out of the game as they expanded their lead to 20.Â
Â
However, the Bearcats wouldn't go away as they would battle back and cut the lead to 6 points late in the game. They just didn't have enough in the tank to complete the comeback against the Pioneers.Â
Â
This game was a major win for the Pioneers who now move to 2-0 all-time vs Brescia and a chance to late this year to go to 3-0 all time vs Brescia.Â
Â
Next up for the Pioneers is a Saturday night game at Berea College Mountaineers starting at 6pm.Â
