The Campbellsville University Harrodsburg men's basketball team had a rough weekend in Michigan this weekend when they traveled to face Mideast opponents Grace Christian and Great Lakes Christian.Â
Â
The Pioneers first game against Grace Christian saw the Pioneers erase a twenty-point deficit in the second half. The Pioneers fell short of the complete comeback.Â
Â
Antoine Darby and
Kereion Douglas however continued to tear it up as Darby would finish with 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. Douglas would finish with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals.Â
Â
The Pioneers would go on to take on Great Lakes Christian the next day. In another instant classic that would go to overtime. The Pioneers had the opportunity to go up 4 late in the game but a missed free-throw and then the basket and foul on the defensive end would send the game to overtime ultimately seeing the Pioneers great performance against the number one team fall short.Â
Â
Mason Blair would finish with 23 points and 6 rebounds. Darby added another 19 points and 6 rebounds. While Douglas would finish with 17 points and 6 rebounds.Â
Â
Up next for the Pioneers is another road conference game February 1
st at Welch College.Â
