Lady Pioneers Open 2021 with a Win

The Harrodsburg Lady Pioneers opened their season up Tuesday night October 26 with a win over the Welch College Flames 87-71. 

The Lady Pioneers used a dominating third quarter to help propel them past the Lady Flames. The Lady Pioneers outscored the opposition 33-18 in the third quarter. 

The Lady Pioneers were led by Oriona Woods who had 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists leading the Pioneers in those categories. Nia Sheckles added in 18 points, 6 rebounds, and game high 6 steals. 

The Pioneers defense forced the Lady Flames to commit 24 turnovers of the 24 turnovers the Lady Pioneers had 16 steals. 

The Next game up for the Lady Pioneers is Randall University on Friday at 2PM in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Randall University is part of the NCCAA and competes in the Southwest region.
