The Pioneers Men's Basketball team took their 1-2 record this weekend on the road to Bethel University where they would compete in the Chick-Fil-A Classic against Bethel University and Blue Mountain University.Â

In the first game of the two was a late tip-off against the host school Bethel. The Pioneers stayed strong against the NAIA MidSouth school. They were down 41-34 at the half but the size and athleticism were a bit much for the Pioneers to handle as they wouldn't be able to defeat Bethel. Falling 85-66.Â

The Pioneers were led by
Tyron Duncan in this game who put in 18 points while also grabbing 5 rebounds. Terrence McDaniels also added in 10 points for the Pioneers.Â

The second of the two games matched the Pioneers against Blue Mountain University were the Pioneers trailed at the half by 18 points. However, a strong second half helped the Pioneers who would fall just short of defeating a strong NAIA team, 89-76.Â

The Pioneers were once again led by
Tyron Duncan who would put in 20 points and add in 6 assists. Kerion Douglas would add in 11 Points but would also grab 4 rebounds and dish out 2 assists.Â

Tyron Duncan's two game performance earned him a spot on the Chick-Fil-A all classic team.Â

Next up for the Pioneers is a home date with River States Brescia University Thursday November 18
th at 7PM.Â
