The Eagles of Asbury University defeated CU Harrodsburg's Lady Pioneers 94-63 on Wednesday.Â
CU Harrodsburg struggled to recover from a slow second quarter offensive output, and trailed 58-27 at the half.Â
The Pioneers would find offensive contributions from
Oriona Woods, who led the team with 19 points and ten rebounds.
Carolina Gonzalez would add 18 points for the Pioneers and
Jaiden Douthit's 10 points would round out the double digit scoring for CU Harrodsburg.
Taleya Todd would provide a spark, adding eight points and three blocks.Â
Asbury's bench production provided the difference in the contest, outscoring CU Harrodsburg's bench 40-14.Â
The Pioneers (6-11) return to action on Monday, as they travel to Berea College for a 6 p.m. tip-off. They then travel to Michigan for match ups with Mideast conference members Grace Christian and Great Lakes. The next home match up is on Saturday, January 29th, against Miami-Hamilton.Â
