The Pioneers used a strong second half to propel them past the Miami-Middletown Thunderhawks this afternoon. 
 
The first half the Pioneers struggled allowing the Thunderhawks to stick around but after the halftime the Pioneers would flex their muscles. 
 
The Thunderhawks in their first season of USCAA play with only 8 players played their best against a Pioneers team that is top 10 in the country in the NCCAA. 
 
The Pioneers 81-50 defeat of Miami-Middletown this afternoon is spotlighted by two double doubles. Oriona Woods with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Makala Smith with 11 points and 10 rebounds. 
 
Up next for the Pioneers is a date with Pensacola Christian on the road.
