The Pioneers men's soccer team will be opening regional play this Friday afternoon at 4 PM when they will face off against the Johnson Royals out of Knoxville, TN. The game which is set to take place in Jeffersonville, Indiana at the Woehrle Athletic Complex.
The Pioneers finished this season 5-5 after starting off going 0-4 winning 5 of their last six games to end the year, their lone loss coming to Campbellsville University main campus.
The Royals finished the season 5-11 finishing the season winning just 2 of their last 7 games.
The Pioneers haven't faced the Royals this season but are no stranger to the Royals as they faced off twice last year on the road at Johnson University. The Royals would win both games one that would include a trip to the regional final game.
This year the stakes are no different as the Pioneers and Royals are facing off. The location has only changed. Friday's game will be for a birth in the Regional Championship game which will be played Saturday at 3 PM.
The Pioneers who are the two seed in the tournament will look to stay hot and hope to bring home the regional championship and advance to Kissimmee, Florida for the National Tournament this season.
