Thursday morning on the campus of Boyce College in Louisville, KY the all-region soccer teams were announced for the Mideast region.
The Pioneers saw five players earn honors this year with two coming on the men's team and three coming on the women's team.Â
The men's team saw first team all-region
Brandon Ballard who earned this honor by his offensive capabilities this season he led the Pioneers in goals scoring 14 of them while also picking up 7 assists this year as well.Â
Enrique Hernandez was elected to the second team all-region for his defensive skills on the backend. Hernandez is a strong defender who isn't afraid to go after the ball and make a play and leading the team on the defensive end.
The Lady Pioneers have two first team all-regional players, first coming for
Katie Turner. Turner is the Lady Pioneers leading goal scorer with 8 goals this season including her hat trick that would help propel the Lady Pioneers over top ranked Great Lakes Christian.Â
The Lady Pioneers freshman Erin Darland also received first-team all-region for her defensive efforts this season. The Lady Pioneers defender is quick to the ball and makes quick and good decisions on the defensive end.Â

Rylee Thomas won second team all-region. Thomas who had 25 saves on the season and a save percentage of 73.5% on the year is a key piece to the Lady Pioneers team helping solidify the defense. Â
